Community hosting bakesale fundraiser for family who lost mom in fire | Community Spirit

We received the following message from a viewer, and are sharing in case you would like to help:

A house fire broke out about 1:30 Tuesday morning in Fruitvale, TX.  The fire killed the 41-year-old mother and injured the 14-year-old daughter who is now in Parkland Hospital. There are 2 other children in the family a 16-year-old and 19-year-old.

This family lost their father just 3 short months ago and the oldest sister has now taken guardianship of her younger brother and sister.

The community is having a bake sale Saturday, December 15th at the brookshire's in Grand Saline and donations for the family can be sent to the Harris Family Donation Fund, c/o FISD, P.O. Box 77 Fruitvale, TX, 75127,  or to the Harris family donation fund c/o FBC Fruitvale po box 177 Fruitvale, TX, 75127. The family needs everything from beds and bedding to cookware and clothing.  Everyone in the family wears a 3-4x in clothing and all of the donations are currently being stored at the FBC Fruitvale until the family is able to find a home in the FISD school district.
